Microsoft is set to unveil a revamped version of its popular Planner tool this quarter. This update is intended to provide a more integrated and streamlined experience.
What’s new in Planner?
The enhanced Microsoft Planner combines the simplicity of Microsoft To Do, the collaboration features of Microsoft Planner, and the robust capabilities of Microsoft Project for the web. This unified platform aims to cater to a wide range of project management needs.
Key features to look forward to

- Centralised task management. The new Planner will centralise your tasks, to-do lists, plans, and projects across Microsoft 365 applications, providing a single, cohesive work management experience.
- Customisable workflow. Adapt the tool to your working style with various templates, views, and methods including lists, boards, timelines, and sprints.
- Advanced configurations and reporting. The updated Planner allows for extensive customisation and automation, including advanced reporting through Power BI and workflow management with Microsoft Power Automate.
