Windows 10’s appearance has seen little change since its release in 2015, apart from some minor tweaks. However, within the next few months, Microsoft is expected to introduce a new look and feel to the user interface.
Expectations are that the changes to Windows 10 will include:
- Improved security
- A major refresh of the desktop, including a News and Information panel that will pop up from the Taskbar, complete with story images.
- A simplified set of system icons
- An overhauled Start menu
- A revamp of File Explorer
- An updated taskbar with modern code
- A more seamless and “fluid” experience for tablet users
- Improved animations
- Windows Hello multicamera support to set the default as the external camera when both external and internal Windows Hello cameras are present
Microsoft has announced that the upgrade will combine enhanced security with a more modern look and an improved experience for people working remotely.
